IEC 61326-1:2012 specifies requirements for immunity and emissions regarding electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) for electrical equipment, operating from a supply or battery of less than 1 000 V a.c. or 1 500 V d.c. or from the circuit being measured. Equipment intended for professional, industrial-process, industrial-manufacturing and educational use is covered by this part. This second edition cancels and replaces the first edition, published in 2005. It constitutes a technical revision. The significant technical changes with respect to the previous edition are: - the immunity test levels and performance criteria have been reviewed; -requirements for portable test and measurement equipment have been clarified and amended; - the description of the electromagnetic environments has been improved.

CISPR 16-1-5:2003+A1:2012 is designated a basic standard which specifies the requirements for calibration test sites, used to perform antenna calibrations, as well as the test antenna characteristics, calibration site verification procedure and site compliance criteria. Further information on calibration site requirements, test antenna considerations and the theory of antennas and site attenuation is provided in informative annexes. Measurement instrumentation specifications are given in CISPR 16-1-1 and CISPR 16-1-4. Further information and background on uncertainties in general is given in CISPR 16-4-1, which may be helpful in establishing uncertainty estimates for the calibration processes of antennas. CISPR 16-1 has been reorganised into 5 parts, to accommodate growth and easier maintenance. This first edition of CISPR 16-1-5, together with CISPR 16-1-1, CISPR 16-1-2, CISPR 16-1-3 and CISPR 16-1-4, cancels and replaces the second edition of CISPR 16-1, published in 1999, amendment 1 (2002) and amendment 2 (2003). It contains the relevant clauses of CISPR 16-1 without technical changes. This consolidated version consists of the first edition (2003) and its amendment 1 (2012). CISPR 25:2008 contains limits and procedures for the measurement of radio disturbances in the frequency range of 150 kHz to 2 500 MHz. The standard applies to any electronic/electrical component intended for use in vehicles, trailers and devices. Refer to International Telecommunications Union (ITU) publications for details of frequency allocations. The limits are intended to provide protection for receivers installed in a vehicle from disturbances produced by components/modules in the same vehicle. The method and limits for a complete vehicle are in Clause 5 and the methods and limits for components/modules are in Clause 6. Only a complete vehicle test can be used to determine the component compatibility with respect to a vehicle's limit. The receiver types to be protected are, for example, broadcast receivers (sound and television), land mobile radio, radio telephone, amateur, citizens' radio, Satellite Navigation (GPS, etc.) and Bluetooth. For the purpose of this standard, a vehicle is a machine, which is self-propelled. Vehicles include (but are not limited to) passenger cars, trucks, agricultural tractors and snowmobiles. Annex A provides guidance in determining whether this standard is applicable to particular equipment.The limits in this standard are recommended and subject to modification as agreed between the vehicle manufacturer and the component supplier. This standard is also intended to be applied by manufacturers and suppliers of components and equipment which are to be added and connected to the vehicle harness or to an on-board power connector after delivery of the vehicle. The limits in this International Standard are designed to provide protection for broadcast receivers in the frequency range of 30 MHz to 1 000 MHz when used in the residential environment. Compliance with this standard may not provide adequate protection for new types of radio transmissions or receivers used in the residential environment nearer than 10 m to the vehicle, boat or device. NOTE 1 Experience has shown that compliance with this standard may provide satisfactory protection for receivers of other types of transmissions when used in the residential environment, including radio transmissions in frequency ranges other than that specified |

This standard applies to the emission of electromagnetic energy which may cause interference to radio reception and which is emitted from: a) vehicles propelled by an internal combustion engine, electrical means or both (see 3.1); b) boats propelled by an internal combustion engine, electrical means or both (see 3.2). Boats are to be tested in the same manner as vehicles except where they have unique characteristics as explicitly stated in this standard; c) devices equipped with internal combustion engines or traction batteries (see 3.3). See Annex G for a flow chart to help determine the applicability of CISPR 12. This standard does not apply to aircrafts, household appliances, traction systems (railway, tramway and electric trolley bus), or to incomplete vehicles. In the case of a dual-mode trolley bus (e.g. propelled by power from either a.c./d.c. mains or an internal combustion engine), the internal combustion propulsion system shall be included, but the a.c./d.c. mains portion of the vehicle propulsion system shall be excluded from this standard. NOTE 2 Protection of receivers used on board the same vehicle as the disturbance source(s) are covered by CISPR 25. The measurement of electromagnetic disturbances while the vehicle is connected to power mains for charging is not covered in this standard. The user is referred to appropriate IEC and CISPR standards which define measurement techniques and limits for this condition. Annex H lists work being considered for future revisions |

CISPR 16-2-1:2008 specifies the methods of measurement of disturbance phenomena in general in the frequency range 9 kHz to 18 GHz and especially of conducted disturbance phenomena in the frequency range 9 kHz to 30 MHz. This second edition of CISPR 16-2-1 cancels and replaces the first edition (2003) and its Amendment 1 (2005) and constitutes a technical revision. CISPR 16-2-1:2008 includes significant technical changes with respect to the previous edition. In general, this new edition aims at reducing compliance uncertainty in correspondence with findings in CISPR 16-4-1. Guidelines are given on- resonance-free connection of the AMN to reference ground, - avoidance of ground loops, and -avoidance of ambiguities of the test setup of EUT and AMN with respect to the reference ground plane.
In addition, terms are clarified, a new type of ancillary equipment (CVP) is applied, and a clarification for the use of the AAN and AMN on the same EUT is provided |

The limits and methods of measurement laid down in this International Standard apply to industrial, scientific and medical (ISM) equipment as defined in Clause 2, and to electrodischarge machining (EDM) and arc welding equipment. NOTE The limits have been determined on a probabilistic basis taking into account the likelihood of interference. In cases of interference, additional provisions may be required. Procedures are given for the measurement of radio-frequency disturbances and limits are laid down within the frequency range 9 kHz to 400 GHz.
